Later Life Learning website is managed by Age UK Norwich and stands alongside but separate to the Age UK Norwich main website. To manage this site, including the courses and resources, we need information about you.
Why we need the information and what we use it for
Data Protection law requires us to have one or more of the following reasons for using your information:
1. 'Contract performance' – the information needed to deliver the service or product, e.g. we’ll need to hold your IP address to monitor the use of the course and report back to any funders or in support of any applications for funding.
2. 'Legal obligation' – we are required by law to process your information
3. 'Legitimate interest' – we’re allowed to use your information where, on balance, the benefits of us doing so are legitimate and not outweighed by your interests or legal rights.
4. 'Consent' – in some cases we may obtain your consent to use information in a particular way or where the law requires consent to be obtained, e.g. accepting cookies on the website or receiving feedback from a survey on the courses
5. 'Vital Interest' – processing is necessary in order to protect the vital interests of the data subject or of another natural person.
How is your information stored and processed
Information is captured, stored and processed on our website and linked analytics accounts. Information gathered shall be the minimum required to monitor the use and management of the system, training and resources therein. This can include IP addresses for monitoring use and access. We do not store information on names and services, as the certificates of completion created are locally stored and not held by the website or its monitoring partners. Contact options are redirected to individual partner sites and therefore data collected on their behalf will be listed on their own individual website privacy policies and in line with their individual terms and conditions.
As a Data Owner, Age UK Norwich uses a number of organisations to process information and data through the use of the technology we use. These are known as Data Processors. The Data Processors we use will vary depending on the service or product.
